Housing makes up more than half of the land area of cities, yet the shortage of attainable places to live in urban communities is increasingly pressing. We approach our housing and mixed-use practice as an exercise in neighborhood building, looking to the low-rise, high-density, mixed program fabric of our home city of Philadelphia as a model for urban life. Our approach seeks to accommodate the needs of existing and future residents while encouraging the development of vibrant streetscapes and social spaces.
